The development of my kiln formed glass over the last fifteen years has been towards increasingly complex and painterly Australian landscape motifs. Abstract and surreal, they have gradually evolved to more easily recognisable views of this ancient and beautiful land. This latest series, recently exhibited, explores different views of the classic Australian juxtaposition of dry bush and water: low, scrubby trees on rocky hillsides, cross sectional rock strata, tumbling down dry gullies to a still river foreground, surreal sun dominant in the pale sky.

This series was the inspiration behind the design for the huge fused glass curtain wall in The Galeries Victoria.
